Mission Statement

At the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center, our mission is to be an agent for positive, and collective change through community organizing in the Pleasant/Piedmont area of Worcester. We aim to promote unity, empowerment, and access to education, as well as other resources and opportunities in our community and beyond.

Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council is a way for youth in the community to take on a leadership role and provides a space for youth voices to be heard in decision making in the community. Whether it be in the form of activities, community events, advocacy, or self/independent publication, the Youth Advisory Council aims to create a positive change and trajectory for youth and the wider community. The youth are the future and deserve to be heard, informed, supported, and directed. It is especially important for youth in urban areas to understand, and be taught, the intricacies of living in community pockets in a larger social sphere. It is our responsibility as adults to provide youth with every access to success that they require.

The council welcomes youth between the age of 15 and 24 yrs, and meets two times a month. The council is facilitated by the Executive Director of PSNNC, as well as PSNNC staff. The council is a 6 month commitment. The council welcomes youth between the age of 15 and 24 yrs, and meets two times a month.
